GASTONIA, NC – The biggest race in the history of Carolina Speedway and one of the largest grassroots races in the country is just around the corner. The King of the Carolinas presented by Carolinas First Defense will take place October 24-27, 2013. The event carries a whopping $75,000 total purse!
The eight division show will showcase many different types and styles of racing. The Renegades of Dirt Open Wheel Modified division presented by The Lajoie of Seating will be the main event of the weekend with three separate shows. Friday night and Saturday night they will battle for $1,200 to win with Sunday’s show paying $3,000 to the winner.
Late Model fans will get to see a pair of exciting events. The Roush Yates Limited Late Models will battle for $2,500 to win on Sunday October 27th while the NDRA Crate Late Models will battle for $3,000 to win on Saturday night.
Stock car fans will get to see a ton of action over the three days of the event. The Domino’s Pizza Street Stocks and the Tilley Harley Davidson Renegades will each battle on Saturday night for $1,500 to win events. Meanwhile the American Air Heating and Cooling Thunder Sportsman and the Q2U BBQ Pit Four Cylinders will duke it out Sunday evening in a pair of $1,500 to win feature races. The Front Wheel Drive division will also have a $1,000 to win main event on Sunday.
“This is much more than a race,” said Carolinas Speedway’s Mark Gibbons. “This is going to be a great season ending event for years to come!”
